More dancing between Jake & Taylor, but also more drama.
They earned a break, and Taylor knew what Jake needed to make him feel better. I've left out the clip where Taylor holds baby Trevor & distracts David as Jake gets Amanda alone. Taylor became obvious, though, and David interrupted Jake & Amanda. Later on, Jake & Taylor returned to the dance floor as did David & Amanda. While on air, Tad interviewed Jake & Taylor about who's the stronger dance partner. Jake couldn't stop staring at Amanda and had to break up her dancing. A fight almost ensued. Tad & Taylor took Jake away to cool off. At the end of the episode Frankie and Jesse are busting into the bathroom to find Randi but instead find Taylor unconscious. Oh my!

Jake buts his way in and becomes Taylor's partner!! They dance the night away! I believe their number changed from 28 to 35. Or it's both numbers. Weird because Brot and Taylor wore 28 while Jake and Natalia wore 35. Can you imagine the confusion of calling in pledges for couples wearing the same numbers? LOL!
You'll find/see them dancing in these clips from two different parts of the episode. You'll also see everyone else.
Tad & Taylor having drinks together. Jake arrives and is miserable about everything going on with Amanda and David. Tad offers some help. Taylor does too, but Tad tells her to stay out of it. Tad and Taylor have their first little fight, and Taylor leaves.
With his current co-star Chrishell Stause (Amanda). They looked great together on the red carpet. Ricky was very funny and hot, of course. During the Emmys they had a part in the special fashion segment. Their theme was James Bond, and they pulled it off perfectly. I'm glad they got that theme. Ricky was even yummier as James Bond. Oh my!
SORRY for posting this a week later. SO SORRY, everyone! Since there's been nothing to update this blog with, I've gotten use to that and it was easy to forget to update with this episode. I just remembered to update yesterday and then quickly forgot. But thank God I remembered again today, and it stuck with me.
This episode was a continuation of Tueday's show. Liza showed up, and Jake, Taylor, and Amanda had to hide baby Trevor. Very funny stuff - Tad trying to shield Liza as Jake looked around for baby things. The baby was crying, and Jake looked everywhere for the pacifier. Taylor came out and immediately found it on the fireplace mantle, giving Jake an annoyed look. Jake and Taylor got some humor together. You could spot it here and there. Amanda, Jake, and Taylor snuck out of the house with the baby to Taylor's place. They figured out how Taylor taking care of Tevor would work. Like magic, Tad showed up with baby stuff just as they were discussing what the baby needs. Taylor promised she would take excellent care of Trevor, and Tad offered to spend the night to help Taylor - to give her Baby Training Camp, as they called it. Overall, this was a hilarious episode. These four characters bring comedy to Pine Valley like no one else could. And the comedic talent between Ricky Paull Goldin & Beth Ehlers is STILL THERE. I've missed it so much.
The new Jake/Taylor episodes have begun. Yay!! Not that I really want them together anymore. I love Taylor with Tad, and Jake is fully committed to Amanda. I still enjoy Ricky & Beth in scenes together, and I know the actors miss working together. So, I'm beyond thrilled with new Jake/Taylor scenes. I wanted to cry at seeing Jake and Taylor together again since I love the actors together.
Now, in this episode Jake & Taylor weren't alone. Tad came home to find Jake & Amanda with their baby. So, now he knows Jake's plan to have Liza believe she has Amanda's baby when she really doesn't. Jake knows Amanda wants to raise the baby, and he wants that too. They've named the baby Trever after Amanda's father. Tad tells them he planned on having an empty house, and as he's explaining that, Taylor comes in. They have brunch planned. So, now Taylor's in on this baby thing too. She hears the entire plan, and altogether they form a new one. It's Taylor's idea to take care of the baby, have him "hide out" at her place. And at the end, Liza shows up at the door. Amanda, Jake, and Taylor go hide with the baby. Very cute, funny stuff!
VERY FUNNY Jake and Tad scenes at home with Tad's girls, Kathy and Jenny. How could I NOT share them here?! Love them! Jake's messy hair alone was hilarious. Later, Jake sees David and Amanda at ConFusion and invites her to stay at Tad's place. He brings her home to more kid chaos. The place is a typical bachelor pad/children's playground, LOL! During the end scenes you hear David & Krystal's wedding overlapping them.
Brot and Taylor arrive at the red hospital event late and get into an argument. Taylor talks to Tad about Brot, and he gets her to understand how Brot feels. On the rooftop Taylor and Brot make up very sweetly. Later, Taylor joins Tad in at the blackjack table at Zach's casino. Brot and Frankie arrive for some drinks. All cute scenes at the casino. Taylor and Brot wind up leaving together and reconnect at Taylor's place.
Jake and Taylor run into each other at ConFusion. He's there drinking, and she's there to meet Brot for a date. Jake keeps her company while she waits, and they share laughs and champagne. They talk about Brot. And again it seems like they're catching up; they don't see each other much anymore. At the end Jake looks longingly as Taylor hugs Brot, and for once I see the longing in Taylor too as she looks back at Jake.
Ricky and a bunch of other ABC soap stars sing songs in two commercials on SoapNet. Very funny and entertaining! The first one is "I Got You Babe", and the second is "I Think I Love You".

Jake and Taylor have ANOTHER quick chat. Jake finds out that Taylor is faking her recovery to keep Brot close to her. Otherwise, Brot wouldn't be around as much. Taylor wants their love to blossom again, so to speak.
And here's the transcript courtesy of TV MegaSite:
Brot: There you go. There you go. Nice job, L.T. Good job.
Jake: Hey. Something happen? Or why are you looking so --
Taylor: Looking so good? Great coach.
Brot: I'll go get the car.
Taylor: Thanks.
Jake: What -- what's going on? I mean, either you had a major setback or -- or -- what's up? Something up?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Taylor: Brot won't leave town until I am fully recovered, so I'm taking my time. That's what this is about.
Jake: You're faking it. Oh, my -- look at you.
Taylor: Stop.
Jake: What? I have seen you run up and down these hallways practically, and now you're -- you're trying to pretend like you're an old lady. You move like a old lady.
Taylor: Ok, stop it.
Jake: What?
Taylor: I just -- I need a little bit more time with him, and this is the only way.
Jake: But what you're doing is wrong.
Taylor: I'm actually trying to help, jake.
Jake: Oh, so you're going to lie, and that's supposed to be for his own good?
Taylor: We do not have a deep enough connection yet. I need more time with him.
Jake: Wow, so that's how you get it? By pretending to an invalid?
Taylor: Could you stop being so self-righteous? I can't exactly sit down and chat with him over coffee. It's too intense for him. But if we do something like physical therapy or exercises, it -- it's actually -- he gets comfortable, and he opens up to me a little bit.
Jake: Such a shame, I thought you were making progress.
Taylor: This is my progress, ok? That's what this is about.
Jake: Hmm.
Taylor: Healing his scars, the scars that are keeping him --
Jake: From loving you?
Taylor: Yes, and from letting me love him.
Jake: No, I get it, I get it.
Taylor: Look, I've -- I've tried being honest. I've tried being tough. I've tried everything I can think of, but he runs.
Jake and Taylor had several scenes separately, but here is just their one scene together. They catch up for a bit. Credit goes to rickypaullgoldin again: http://www.youtube.com/user/rickypaullgoldin
Jake's 12/8 scenes with Greenlee were AMC's standout scenes in the most recent issue of ABC Soaps In Depth. How wonderful! Those two always have a spark when they're together. Too bad that Rebecca Budig is leaving soon. A Jake/Greenlee revival would have been pretty awesome.
Jake plays Santa, albeit a very Scroogy one. Greenlee convinces him to talk to Taylor when she arrives for physical therapy. Jake and Taylor kinda of have closure on their relationship. They seemed to realize that what started blooming between them has died out. Taylor is in love with Brot and is focused on him. So, she's not going to realize her feelings for Jake (or his feelings for her) for some time.
After their talk, Jake is at the park and has a scene with Amanda, in which he apologizes for his drunk behavior. Jake later thinks about Taylor while in the elevator. He's hurting so much.
Not included are Taylor's scenes of helping Brot get out of military jail. She enlists Zach's help even though Brot doesn't want any help.
The military officer questions Taylor about Brot. Jake and Taylor discuss Brot before he heads back to work. This only includes the Jake/Taylor scenes, which weren't much.
Jake tries to help Brot when a military police officer arrives looking for him. Frankie and Brot help Taylor move into a new house. Jake shows up and tells Brot and Taylor about the officer.
Jake gets punched by JR. Taylor confides in Frankie about Brot, and Brot ends up admitting to Taylor what happened to him. Also included are Frankie's scenes with Randi.
Jake and Taylor catch up a bit. Taylor asks what they should do about their relationship, and Jake says that he could never forget her. They kind of push each other away. Taylor can't talk to him like he's her therapist, and he can't deal with talking about Brot either. Jake ends up getting drunk at ConFusion, says some mean things to Amanda, and gets punched by JR. Our poor heartbroken Jake.
Taylor confronts Brot about the engagement ring. Brot and Jake have it out when they get stuck in the elevator together. Jake convinces Brot to give Taylor a chance. Brot returns to Taylor and says he'll let her get to know the person he has become. Jake listens to them and is obviously hurt. All of the scenes in this episode are amazing and beautifully acted.
Taylor continues trying to get through to Brot as he heals from an infection, but he continues pushing her away. Jake overhears them talking, and you can tell that he's hurting. Taylor finds her engagement ring in Brot's jacket.
The journey of Ricky Paull Goldin and Beth Ehlers on All My Children is now over since the show moved to Los Angeles and Beth was let go. This blog serves as an archive of their time from 2008 through 2009 as Jake Martin and Taylor Thompson.
