New Blog - WELCOME!!

This blog is for fans of Ricky Paull Goldin and Beth Ehlers. They played the popular supercouple Gus & Harley on Guiding Light for a number of years. And now they're taking their work elsewhere...

First Ricky decided to leave GL, and months later Beth did too. They didn't leave together or because of each other. They both felt it was time to move on and begin another chapter in their lives.

Ricky debuted on All My Children May 2nd as a recast of Jake Martin, a core member of the Martin family. He hasn't had much story so far, much to fans' chagrin since he's supposedly hiding something. Beth Ehlers will debut July 24 as Taylor McBride, a brand new character. She'll be connected to Jake right away. There's already something to bond them...he was with Doctors Without Borders in Africa & was held hostage while she served in Iraq & was seriously injured. They've both endured trauma away from home. He has dealt with the military, and she's devoted to the military. So, there are many possibilities for them individually and as a couple.

Ricky & Beth were amazing together on GL, and now they'll have a fresh start on AMC. See if the magic is still there and read all about their AMC days here. This blog will serve as an archive for the actors and Jake & Taylor...aka Take 2 (for the time being). Still haven't found the right nickname for them yet.
